Peter’s early design experience was gained working for 3 leading UK consultancies before arriving at tangerine in 1990. His work before that with Nick Butler at BIB was largely for US base companies, Hussmann & Apple Computers and he continued this international flavour with Barry Weaver at Roberts Weaver this time with Far Eastern clients such as Hitachi, LG and Panasonic.

Peter joined tangerine as the fourth partner alongside Clive Grinyer, Martin Darbyshire and Sir Jonathan Ive, currently still VP of Design at Apple who is knighted for his services to Design.  Peter was responsible for all aspects of company structure & personal, as well as the planning of the overall business and marketing strategy.  His relationship with Far Eastern clients, in particular LG Electronics helped firmly establish tangerine as an international consultancy of high reputation.  In the 14 years Peter was at tangerine he worked with companies such as Pace Micro Technology, Samsung, Alcatel, and British Airways.

In September 2003 Peter joined The Brewery as Managing Partner in charge of product design and strategy. The Brewery is a multi disciplinary agency combining media, environments, trend forcasting, packaging and product. He continued his relationship with LG Milan and added clients such as SunCorp, British Telecom, Stanton in USA and Haewei in China to the product portfolio.  The cross fertilization of project within the Brewery allowed Peter to work with Colgate Palmolive and Eastman Chemicals on a major innovation programme.

In September 2007 he joined Rodd Design Limited as Director and in 2012 Peter formed transparent product design and continues his relationship with a number of UK clients. He also is a Visiting Tutor to the Arts University Bournemouth.
